Development

Walking into a skate shop to purchase your first skateboard and seeing the plethora of options can feel overwhelming! My aim for this project was to outline the essential components that form a skateboard in order to make the selection process fun and pain-free. It was also my goal to inform the learner that there is no “one size fits all” skateboard. The parts you choose for your skateboard will heavily depend on the type of skateboarding you want to do. Given that I wanted the microlearning styled in the form of a guide, I felt Articulate Rise was the best program to present the learning experience. I wanted the project to have a natural flow, so I designed the project using consistent visual themes with skate-related assets sprinkled throughout the learning. Skateboarding is fun, so it was my mission to convey this notion through engaging and colorful multimedia. I carefully crafted the visual designs and custom animations in the Adobe Suite and Final Cut Pro. So whether you’ve always wanted to try out skating or already have years of experience, I hope you find the content in this learning valuable!
